Universal Stainless to Increase Base Price for Tool Steels
05/12/2009 - Universal Stainless & Alloy Products will increase base prices by 5% for tool steel plate manufactured at its Bridgeville facility.
Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. announced a 5% increase for base prices of all tool steel plate manufactured at its Bridgeville facility.
“The price adjustment is necessary in response to increased costs associated with lower mill operating levels,” said Chris Zimmer, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “This action will also enable us to continue our reinvestment in equipment and facilities to better serve our customers.”
The company said the increase would be effective immediately for all new orders. Published material and energy surcharges will remain in effect.
