Universal Stainless Increases Tool Steel Base Price

Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. has increased base prices by 5 to 7% on all tool steel products manufactured at its Bridgeville and Dunkirk facilities. The increase takes effect with all new orders entered on May 1, 2008.

The company noted that its current material and energy surcharges will remain in effect.

Headquartered in Bridgeville, Pa., Universal Stainless & Alloy Products manufactures and markets a broad line of semi-finished and finished specialty steels, including stainless steel, tool steel and certain other alloyed steels. The Company's products are sold to rerollers, forgers, service centers, original equipment manufacturers and wire redrawers.
