Universal Stainless Hires New CFO

Universal said Ross Cameron Wilkin, 45, has more than 22 years of financial experience, much of it gained with the food processor. He began his new duties on 3 August. Wilkin succeeds Michael Bornak, who has stepped down from the position.

Stainless. He will play a vital role on our team, as we continue to drive the transformation of Universal Stainless," said Universal Stainless chairman and CEO Dennis Oates in a statement.

Wilkin began his finance career in 1992 with KPMG, working in Toronto and Cleveland. From 2003 to 2014, Wilkin held several financial positions at Heinz, serving as vice president and CFO of Heinz Australia and New Zealand, divisional finance director for Heinz North America, and as a U.S. senior divisional manager of financial planning.

He most recently served as CFO for Dynamics Inc., a Pittsburgh-area financial technology firm that designs and manufactures intelligent payment devices and advanced payment platforms.

A native of Canada, Wilkin holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ont., Canada.


Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc., headquartered in Bridgeville, Pa., manufactures and markets semi-finished and finished specialty steels, including stainless steel, tool steel and certain other alloyed steels. The company's products are used in a variety of industries, including aerospace, power generation, oil and gas, and heavy equipment manufacturing. The company was established in 1994.
