United Steelworkers Union, Nippon Steel Sign Nondisclosure Agreement
02/29/2024 - The United Steelworkers (USW) union has signed a nondisclosure agreement with Nippon Steel Corp., a precursor to allowing discussion between the labor union and the acquirer of United States Steel Corporation to proceed.
However, the union has yet to sit down with company representatives, USW International President David McCall told the Bloomberg news service.
“There has been no discussion about an agreement or accepting our labor agreement,” McCall told the Bloomberg news service. “I’m telling you straight out that we’ve had no discussions other than the NDA,” he said.
