UAW Members Approve New AK Steel Labor Agreement
07/15/2019 - Union employees at AK Steel Corp.’s Butler works in Pennsylvania have ratified a three-year labor contract with the company.
“We are pleased to have reached a labor agreement at Butler Works for our employees,” said AK Steel chief executive Roger K. Newport. “The new agreement continues to provide a competitive and flexible labor contract for AK Steel and our Butler employees.”
The agreement covers approximately 1,200 hourly production and maintenance employees organized under Local 3303 of the United Auto Workers. Workers previously rejected a tentative agreement between the company and the union.
The new agreement will expire 15 June 2022.
