U. S. Steel Tubular Products Awards Chief Roughneck Award

The announcement was made at the 84th annual meeting of the Independent Petroleum Association of America.
 
U. S. Steel senior vice president of tubular operations David Britten presented Mr. Vincent with the traditional Chief Roughneck bronze bust and hard hat.  "Bruce has served this industry for many years.  He has created a culture at Swift Energy Company based on values that are the foundation of American business success," said Britten.  "His enthusiasm and integrity inspires those around him in their pursuit of excellence.  Bruce represents the passion and commitment that propels this nation's energy industry and these qualities make him a perfect choice for the 2013 Chief Roughneck Award."
 
Bruce H. Vincent joined Swift Energy Company in 1990 and has served in a variety of strategic positions.  He has been president of Swift Energy Company since November 2004 and a member of the board of directors since 2005, currently serving on the board's executive committee.  Active in numerous industry and trade organizations, Vincent is the immediate past chairman of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA).  He is a member of the IPAA executive committee and regional board of directors, as well as past director of the national association and past chairman of the capital markets, communications, international and program committees.  He is also the immediate past chairman and a member of the board of the Natural Gas Council.
 
Mr. Vincent earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Duke University and a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Houston.  
 
The prestigious Chief Roughneck Award was created in 1955 to honor the lifetime achievements of petroleum industry leaders.  Today, U. S. Steel Tubular Products proudly continues to present this important award, which is widely recognized as one of the industry's highest honors.
