U. S. Steel Puts a Name to Its Latest Electrical Steel
03/23/2023 - With United States Steel Corporation nearing the end of construction on its electrical steel line in Arkansas, the company is introducing a branded line of non-oriented electrical steel.
Called InduX, the steel will be a very wide, ultrathin, and lightweight product, having all the magnetic properties necessary for electric vehicles, generators and transformers, U. S. Steel said.
InduX will be produced at Big River Steel, where the company is building a US$450 million electrical steel line. Capable of producing 200,000 tons annually, the line is to be commissioned this summer.
U. S. Steel unveiled InduX during the Corporate Climate Leadership panel at the Ceres Global conference in New York City.
