U. S. Steel on Track to Start Alabama EAF This Year
02/12/2020 - United States Steel Corporation is looking to strike an arc on its new electric arc furnace in Alabama later this year and begin steel production in the second half, reports the Alabama.com news site.
Once on-line, the furnace will produce up to 1.6 million tons annually for U. S. Steel’s tubular operations.
