U. S. Steel Names New President

In his new role, Burritt will have executive responsibility for all aspects of the company's day-to-day business in the United States and Central Europe. His appointment was effective 28 February. He will continue to serve as CFO while a search for his successor plays out, the company said. 
 
Mario Longhi, who has served as president and chief executive officer since September 2013, will remain U. S. Steel's CEO and continue to serve on the board of directors. Longhi will focus his time on the company's strategic vision, the company said.
