According to U. S. Steel, ZMAG is a zinc-aluminum-magnesium coated product that offers up to five times the corrosion resistance of conventional galvanized steel.

“ZMAG steel features a that ZMAG coated steel also remains reliable over time, lowering maintenance costs and increasing efficiency for products that must withstand long-term exposure to the elements like solar frames and racking systems,”the company said in a statement. 

ZMAG is produced at the company’s PRO-TEC joint-venture facility in Ohio.
