U.S. Steel Announces OCTG Authorized Distributors

08/20/2007 - United States Steel announces its new oil country goods distribution network for the United States following its acquisition of Lone Star Technologies earlier this year.

United States Steel Corp. announced its new distribution network for Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) sales in the United States resulting from its acquisition of Lone Star Technologies, Inc. and related companies on June 14.
 
The following companies have been named to U. S. Steel’s list of authorized OCTG distributors:
  • Cinco Pipe & Supply Co.
  • Energy Tubulars Inc.
  • J.D. Rush Co. / J.D. Rush Corp.
  • Pipeco Services
  • Premier Pipe, LP
  • Red Man Pipe & Supply Co.
  • Republic Supply International / Alexander Steel Sales, Inc.
  • Sooner Pipe, LLC
  • Toolpushers Supply Co.
 
"U.S. Steel is now the largest supplier of OCTG in the United States,” said Joe Alvarado, U. S. Steel's Vice President—Tubular. “And we are committed to marketing our products in North America through a selective, authorized distribution network.”
 
These distributors will also be responsible for selling both seamless and electric resistance welded (ERW) tubular goods into OCTG markets.
