U.S. Crude Steel Production Expected to Rise in 2017
12/28/2016 - U.S. crude steel production is expected to rise by around 4.4% in 2017, reports the (London) Financial Times newspaper.
The Times, which surveyed 20 analysts and averaged their forecasts, said that production will be supported by lower import volumes and demand from the construction and energy sectors.
It also said production growth in the U.S. is expected to outpace the global rate, which is forecast to increase 0.9% in the coming year.
