U.S. Announces Preliminary Duties on Stainless Sheet, Strip
09/12/2016 - The U.S. Commerce Department has set has set preliminary anti-dumping duties of 63.9 and 76.6 percent on stainless sheet and strip from China.
In a ruling issued Monday, the Commerce Department said Chinese producers have been selling products at less than fair market value, undercutting U.S. producers.
The investigation, which began earlier this year, arose on a complaint from AK Steel Corp., Allegheny Technologies Inc., North American Stainless, and Outokumpu Stainless USA. About 133,500 metric tons of imported into the U.S. in 2015, according to the department.
