U.S. Agency Votes to Continue Trade Case on Steel Threaded Rod from India and Thailand
08/12/2013 - The United States International Trade Commission determined that there is a reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of certain steel threaded rod from India and Thailand that are allegedly sold in the U.S. at less than fair value and alleged to be subsidized by the Government of India.
All six Commissioners voted in the affirmative.
As a result of the Commission’s affirmative determinations, the U.S. Department of Commerce will continue to conduct its investigations on imports of these products, with its preliminary countervailing duty determination due on or about 20 September 2013, and its preliminary antidumping duty determinations due on or about 4 December 2013.
Petitioners in the investigation include All America Threaded Products Inc., Denver, Colo.; Bay Standard Manufacturing, Inc., Brentwood, Calif.; and Vulcan Threaded Products, Inc., Pelham, Ala.
