Two U. S. Steel Executives Assigned New Posts
09/05/2018 - Two United States Steel Corporation executives will swap responsibilities in an effort to broaden their horizons, chief executive David Burritt has announced.
In a statement, Burritt said James E. Bruno, currently senior vice president for automotive solutions, and Scott D. Buckiso, currently the senior vice president for European solutions and president of U. S. Steel Košice in Slovakia, will exchange positions. They’ll continue to serve as senior vice presidents.
The moves are effective 1 October.
“These changes are part of our company’s normal executive development process. The new roles will expose Scott and Jim to different leadership and business opportunities while helping our company increase our executive bench strength by further enhancing their capabilities,” Burritt said.
Buckiso, a U. S. Steel veteran, has held his current position since 2015. Bruno has been with U. S. Steel since 2014 and was hired into the role he holds currently.
