Two Bidders Move Into the Lead to Buy Former ILVA Steelworks

02/18/2025 - Azerbaijan’s Baku Steel Co. and India’s Jindal Steel International are said to be the leading bidders for one of the EU’s largest integrated steel works, according to the Reuters news service.

According to Reuters, the companies became the frontrunners for Acciaierie d'Italia after upping their bids for the business, which has been under state administration.
