Tubemaker Snags Record OCTG Order
03/30/2016 - French tubemaker Vallourec has won an order for nearly 100,000 tons of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from Abu Dhabi National Oil Co., Vallourec has announced.
Under the supply agreement, Vallourec will provide standard API and premium OCTG over the next two years for use in onshore and offshore wells. Vallourec said it is the largest single order it has ever received to supply the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
"Thanks to our worldwide presence, we are able to offer (the company) a full range of products, from premium to API, from all of our mills, with competitive lead times and competitive prices. Together with VAM Field Services, we are able to support (the company) with value-added solutions from the mill to the rig,” said Didier Hornet, Vallourec’s eastern hemisphere senior vice president, in a statement.
Vallourec also will supply high-torque VAM connections as part of the agreement.
