Tube City Testing Out New Process at Ohio Mill
12/28/2015 - AK Steel Corp. and mill services provider Tube City IMS are collaborating on what’s described as an improved steel recovery process, reports the Dayton Business Journal newspaper.
According to the newspaper, Tube City has leased a 30,810-square-foot industrial building in Middletown, Ohio, in support of the project. Middletown is home to AK Steel’s integrated Middletown Works.
The real estate firm that represented Tube City in the lease told the newspaper Tube City is testing out the new, more efficient process at AK Steel. If successful, it will introduce it to other mills where Tube City has a presence, the newspaper said.
Tube City is North America’s largest provider of outsourced industrial services to steel mills.
