Tube City IMS Names Sales and General Manager for Latin American Division
12/03/2013 - TMS International Corp., the parent company of Tube City IMS Corp., a leading provider of outsourced industrial services to steel mills globally, announced that Tube City IMS, LLC has named Dai Moriya as sales and general manager – Latin American Division.
“Dai will be working with the company’s Raw Material and Optimization Group to generate new business opportunities and help expand the growth of the company’s global trading operations,” said J. David Aronson, Tube City IMS’ president and chief operating officer, Raw Material and Optimization Group.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Moriya worked in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility for Sojitz Corporation, most recently as director of sales based in New York City.
He was responsible for marketing operations for raw materials for iron and steel around the globe and also expanded networks and markets/customers in Asia, Middle East/Africa and Central and South America.
Mr. Moriya earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Faculty of Commerce from Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan, and is fluent in English and Japanese. He is based at the company’s office in New York City.
“Dai has a strong track record of success and a wealth of knowledge in the international marketplace. His experience in the global trading industry is a tremendous asset to the company as we continue to expand globally. We are pleased to welcome him to the team,” Mr. Aronson said.
