Tube City IMS Merges Operating Subsidiaries
01/03/2008 - Tube City IMS announces the merger of its operating subsidiaries Tube City, LLC and International Mill Service, effective January 1, 2008.
Tube City IMS Corp. announced that its operating subsidiaries Tube City, LLC and International Mill Service, Inc. (IMS) have merged, effective January 1, 2008.
Effective immediately, the newly-merged company will be known as Tube City IMS, LLC. According to the company, the merger and new name will help to reflect the changing requirements of customers, and will also help to strengthen the corporate brand worldwide.
The company has also renamed its Canadian subsidiary from International Mill Service Limited to Tube City IMS Canada Limited.
Tube City IMS, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, will continue to operate under the trade names Tube City Division, Tube City IMS and IMS Division, Tube City IMS. Existing operations, customer service, structure and day-to-day business will not be affected by the merger.
Tube City IMS Corp. provides products and services to steel mills and foundries throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, South America and Asia. Tube City and IMS have operated as separate wholly-owned “sister” subsidiaries of Tube City IMS Corporation since December 2004.
