Tube City IMS Announces Vice President Logistics
09/07/2007 - Tube City IMS announces new Vice President of Logistics and Related Business for the company's Tube City Division, as well as a number of new managerial appointments.
Tube City IMS Corp. announced that Simon Golding has joined the company's Tube City Division as Vice President of Logistics and Related Business.
In his new position, Golding will be responsible for various logistics service programs and initiatives related to the company's expanding global presence. He will be based at the company's Glassport, Pa., office.
"Simon brings a wealth of insight and experience to our important long-term logistics strategies," said J. David Aronson, Executive Vice President—Outsource Purchasing, Tube City Division. "His strong business and logistics background will be an asset to the Company as we expand our international operations. We welcome his expertise and wisdom."
Prior to joining the company, Golding worked at ArcelorMittal in New York City, and with ThyssenKrupp in Detroit, Mich. In both cases, Golding was responsible for the Logistics Departments. He graduated from high school in Japan, and then earned his bachelor's degree in Business Logistics from Pennsylvania State University.
The company also announced a number of recent managerial appointments, including:
- Karen Handley has joined the Tube City Division as a Trader Assistant. She works at the company's Gary, Ind., office.
- Amy Daw has joined the Tube City Division as an Accounting Analyst, and Barbara Whitney has joined the Tube City Division as an Invoicing/Billing Clerk. Both work at the company's Glassport office.
- Linda Stahl has joined the Tube City Division as an Administrative Assistant. She works at the company's OptiMiser Division in Schererville, Ind.
- Karla Harris has joined the IMS Division as a Clerk. She works at the company's Saukville, Wis., operation.
- Carrie Williams has joined the IMS Division as a Clerk. She works at the company's Cleveland, Ohio, operation.
- Jason Puckett has been promoted to Production Manager, Tube City Division. He works at the company's Gary operation.
- Charles Cook is the new Site Superintendent at the company's IMS Division operation in Cleveland.
- Jason Throener has been promoted to Site Manager, IMS Division. He works at the company's Jackson, Mich., operation.
