Trump Reportedly Wants a Blanket Steel Tariff
02/26/2018 - U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly is in favor of imposing a blanket tariff on steel imports, according to the Bloomberg news service.
Citing unidentified sources, Bloomberg said Trump has told confidants he wants to set a 24% tariff on all imports from all countries.
The blanket tariff is one of the three recommendations that the Commerce Department made to the president as part of its Section 232 investigation.
