Trump Economic Adviser Says He Wants to Remove Section 232 Tariffs on Canada, Mexico
02/25/2019 - White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow says he has begun an effort to lift the Section 232 tariffs on Mexican and Canadian steel and aluminum, reports the Bloomberg news service.
According to Bloomberg, Kudlow's comments came during a panel discussion Sunday at the National Governors Association winter meeting. Also on the panel was Canadian Transport Minister Mark Garneau, who reiterated previous comments that the tariffs would impede ratification of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement.
