Trump Again Pledges to Halt U. S. Steel-Nippon Steel Deal

08/21/2024 - Donald Trump reiterated a campaign promise to block Nippon Steel Corp.’s acquisition of United States Steel Corporation during a campaign stop in central Pennsylvania.

“I will stop Japan from buying United States Steel,” Trump said, according to the Reuters news service. “They shouldn't be allowed to buy it.”
