Tree Island Richmond BC Union Local Given Mandate to Serve 72-Hour Strike Notice
08/27/2012 - Teamster employees at Tree Island Industries's British Columbia, Canada manufacturing facility have voted to give their union authority to serve 72-hour strike notice should negotiations over a new labor agreement not be achieved.
Tree Island Wire Income Fund announced on 26 August that Teamster employees at its Richmond, British Columbia, Canada manufacturing facility operated by Tree Island Industries Ltd., the fund’s wholly owned subsidiary, have voted to give their union authority to serve 72-hour strike notice should negotiations over a new labor agreement not be achieved.
At that time no strike notice has been served on the company. The collective agreement expired on 30 June 2012.
