Transformer Maintenance Firm Launches Southern U.S. Expansion
07/31/2017 - SDMyers, an Ohio-based electrical transformer service firm, is opening two new regional offices in the southern U.S., the company has announced.
The offices are in Austin, Texas, and New Orleans, La., and will allow the company to expand service coverage to those states as well as to Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and New Mexico.
In Austin, the office will be headed by industry veteran Scott Becker. He has 23 years of experience, having worked for SDMyers, American JST Corp. and IEM Transformer. The New Orleans office will be overseen by Jarrett Weber, who has 17 years of related experience with hydrocarbon measurement service companies.
“In Louisiana, we’ve been doing work on the lab testing side of the business,” Weber said. “The new office will work to further promote field services.”
The two offices will have dedicated operational support including vehicles, equipment and staff.
“It’s a good time for SDMyers to develop this region,” Becker said, “and we’re positioned for success.”
SDMyers offers a full range of maintenance services; a variety of field services, including moisture reduction, hot oil cleaning, inspection and IR scanning; and remote condition monitoring.
