Tokyo Steel Plans Pickling Line Modernization
07/17/2020 - Electric arc furnace-based flats and longs producer Tokyo Steel Co. Ltd. has contracted Primetals Technologies to overhaul a continuous pickling line at its facility in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan, Primetals Technologies has said.
According to Primetals Technologies, the project will entail installation of a tension leveler scalebreaker and an immersion box pickling tank.
“The revamp will increase productivity for difficult-to-descale materials while reducing energy and acid consumption,” Primetals Technologies said.
The project is set for completion in October 2021.
