TMS International Receives 43 Safety Awards from the National Slag Association

The NSA Safety Awards recognize superior performance as measured against Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable injury rates. The awards were presented to the company during the NSA's fall meeting held in San Diego, Calif.
 
Since joining the NSA in 2005, Tube City IMS has earned 318 Safety Awards.

The company's operation in Seguin, Texas, received the award for "2012 Most Improved Job Sites for Safety." U.S. operations that received safety awards for "Job Sites with at Least 200,000 Hours Since Last Recordable Accident" were: Axis, Ala.; River Rouge, Mich.; Middletown, Ohio; Horsham, Pa.; and Beaumont, Texas. Company sites in Mexico receiving the same award were Monclova, Monterrey and Puebla.
 
U.S. operations receiving safety awards for "Lowest Incident Rate" for employees were: Alabama: Axis, Birmingham, Calvert; Delaware: Claymont; Illinois: Chicago; Indiana: Burns Harbor, East Chicago, Portage; Michigan: Ecorse, Jackson, Monroe, River Rouge; Minnesota: St. Paul; Ohio: Middletown, Mingo Junction; Pennsylvania: Bridgeville, Horsham, Johnstown; South Carolina: Cayce,Darlington; Tennessee: Gallatin, Jackson, Knoxville; Texas: Beaumont, Freeport, Lonestar, Longview, Seguin; Utah: Plymouth; Wisconsin: Saukville.
 
Company sites in Canada receiving safety awards for "Lowest Incident Rate" for employees were:Hamilton, Ontario; Nanticoke, Ontario; and Regina, Saskatchewan.
 
Company sites in Mexico receiving safety awards for "Lowest Incident Rate" for employees were: Mexico City, Monclova and Monterrey.
