July 13, 2006 — The Timken Co. announced it will increase prices by 5% on all carbon and alloy grade tubing products.

The price change will be effective with shipments beginning on August 14, 2006.

The company notes that raw material and fuel surcharges will remain in effect.

Timken, an international supplier of highly engineered bearings, alloy steels and related products and services, has operations in 27 countries, 2005 sales of $5.2 billion, and 27,000 employees.
