ThyssenKrupp Steel USA President and CEO to Assume New Responsibilities

ThyssenKrupp Steel USA announced that President and CEO Chris Lackinger is leaving his position January 1, 2012 to assume other responsibilities within the ThyssenKrupp Group.
 
“Having been a part of the core Team responsible for building this facility has been one of the greatest learning experiences of my life,” said Lackinger. “But the most rewarding has been building close personal relationships with hundreds of dedicated and talented people.”
 
In announcing the transition, ThyssenKrupp AG’s Executive Board expressed its appreciation to Lackinger for his efforts during the construction and operational ramp-up phases of the project.
 
Lackinger has served ThyssenKrupp in various capacities since joining Thyssen Steel twenty-two years ago. He previously served as Vice President of Technology for the carbon steel portion of ThyssenKrupp’s $4.6-billion carbon steel and stainless steel processing facilities prior to his appointment as President and CEO of ThyssenKrupp Steel USA.
