ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe is aiming to solve its currently problematic supply chain planning puzzle and optimize its supply chain processes with Quintiq, a specialist in advanced planning & scheduling solutions. Quintiq successfully completed a proof of concept with the steel supplier last year.
The planning and scheduling software previously used by ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe provided a limited level of visibility of its supply chain planning processes. Consequently, ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe put together a list of requirements for an optimal, tailor-made planning software solution.
Quintiq had already impressed ThyssenKrupp Steel with the implementation of detailed planning at its plants in various other locations. After Quintiq provided another successful proof of concept, ThyssenKrupp Steel once again chose a Quintiq product called the Company Planner. This software solution will be able to take into account all relevant company regulations when optimizing the planning of product orders in the supply chain.
Quintiq provides advanced planning, scheduling and supply chain optimization software solutions. This fast-growing company, established in 1997, offers and implements software for planning and optimizing complex business processes throughout the enterprise. The company’s dual headquarters are located in the Netherlands and the U.S. with subsidiaries in Australia, China, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Malaysia, and the UK. Quintiq systems are implemented in 77 countries worldwide.
