ThyssenKrupp Stahl AG will raise its prices for carbon flat steel products by €20 – €30/t in the 4th quarter of 2005.

In making the announcement, the company comments that the market has stabilized in recent weeks, and stocks at Western European customers have increasingly returned to normal levels.

In implementing the price increases, which are urgently required due to high raw material costs, ThyssenKrupp Stahl will consistently apply its policy of “price before volume”. A further price increase for the 1st quarter of 2006 is under consideration.
