ThyssenKrupp Stahl Reshuffles Management Board at Rasselstein

Effective October 1, 2005, two new directors will join the management board of Rasselstein GmbH in Andernach:

Karl-Ernst Friedrich (53), currently Vice President at ThyssenKrupp Stahl AG responsible for the production operations in Duisburg-Bruckhausen and the Bochum electrical steel plant, will become board member for engineering.

Dr. Ulrich Roeske (40), currently Chairman of the management board of ThyssenKrupp Stahl subsidiary Hoesch Hohenlimburg, will become director of sales. He will continue in his current function in Hohenlimburg for a transitional period until December 31, 2005. A decision on his successor at Hoesch Hohenlimburg will be made as quickly as possible.

The management board currently comprises Gerd Lohscheidt (67) as Chairman and Labor Director Heinz Pafferath (56).

The swift appointments are important personnel decisions made necessary by the departure of three members of the management board in May and June.

Rasselstein is a subsidiary of ThyssenKrupp Stahl AG and one of the world’s leading producers of tinplate, a position currently being strengthened by a forward strategy involving major investments in the Andernach plant.
