thyssenkrupp On Target With Conversion of Casting and Rolling Plant at Duisburg
11/04/2024 - thyssenkrupp Steel Europe last week announced its casting and rolling line at its Duisburg, Germany, facility was taken out of operation and will be replaced by a state-of-the-art continuous casting line and a modernized hot strip mill.
Two weeks earlier than planned, the company is moving forward with the modernization of its steel production facilities at the Duisburg site. The casting and rolling line had been in operation for over 25 years.
According to thyssenkrupp, ramp-up of the new continuous casting line 4 and hot strip mill 4 with two new walking beam furnaces is scheduled for May 2025.
