thyssenkrupp Appoints Permanent Chief Executive
03/23/2020 - thyssenkrupp interim chief executive Martina Merz has been given the job on a permanent basis, the steelmaker has announced. In a statement, thyssenkrupp said Merz will begin a three-year contract on 1 April.
"I am grateful for the trust the supervisory board has in me and my work. I am very committed to the company," Merz said in a statement.
"We started the transformation process at thyssenkrupp together. And together with the employees, the management team, my colleagues and the supervisory board I would like to continue along this path. Together we will make the company successful again."
Merz took over as interim chief executive in October 2019.
