Thomas Hörnfeldt Appointed Managing Director of Ruukki Sverige Ab
09/20/2013 - Thomas Hörnfeldt, SVP, special steels & international sales at Ruukki Metals, has, in addition to his existing duties, been appointed managing director of Ruukki Sverige AB and Ruukki Holding AB.
These positions of managing director were earlier held by Johan Magnusson, who has left Ruukki to take up employment elsewhere.
Ruukki is focusing strongly on expanding its global sales network for special steels. Recent years have seen the company invest in special steels competence and production capacity. Ruukki has achieved a good market position and customer base, and built a distribution system and strong product brands. Ruukki also has a strong market position and comprehensive steel service center network in the Nordic countries, where it is one of the leading makers of steel products.
Ruukki specializes in steel and steel construction. It provides customers with energy-efficient steel solutions for better living, working and moving. It has around 9,000 employees and an extensive distribution and dealer network across some 30 countries including the Nordic countries, Russia and elsewhere in Europe and the emerging markets, such as India, China and South America. Net sales in 2012 totaled €2.8 billion.
