This Facility Has Gone 36,500 Days Without an Accident. And Counting.
06/01/2022 - Steel plate distributor Leeco Steel is celebrating a major safety milestone today: its Portage, Ind., USA, facility has been accident free for 10 years.
In an announcement, the company said the achievement is due to a prevailing safety first mindset, attention to detail and accountability. The Portage facility is Leeco Steel’s largest.
“Each member of our Portage team looks out for one another, pays close attention to potential hazards and holds each other accountable. We are proud of the Portage team’s safety record and look forward to extending it,” said Chad Schuh, Leeco Steel’s vice president of operations.
