Called Endurance, the line includes the steelmaker’s existing high-strength and high-toughness grades along with three new ultrahigh-strength, high-toughness steels, the company said in a statement. 

“In highly engineered components like gears, these grades' higher levels of strength and toughness offer gear designers and manufacturers the ability to create improved gears that can achieve significant savings and performance advantages over those produced from more traditional steel grades,” the company said in a statement. 

TimkenSteel is unveiling the new line at the American Gear Manufacturers Association’s Gear Expo 2017, which is being held in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
