Texas HBI Plant Passes Performance Tests
06/21/2017 - The world´s largest single-module hot briquetted iron plant successfully completed its performance-guarantee tests, reports the facility’s technology supplier.
According to direct reduction specialist Midrex Technologies Inc., the voestalpine-owned plant in Texas passed the 14-day trial over the winter. The plant’s fines recycling facility, engineered by partner Primetals Technologies, also passed its performance tests, Midrex said.
Primetals Technologies and Midrex were responsible for the plant’s engineering, mechanical and electrical equipment and provided advisory services.
