Ternium Reports Incident at Shreveport Facility
07/07/2013 - During the night of 5 July, a zinc leakage on electrical wiring caused an incident in the galvanizing line of Ternium’s mill in Shreveport, La. The circumstances are still being investigated.
No employees were injured. A special team designated by Ternium is currently working at the location assessing the situation and deciding on an immediate plan of action.
Ternium would like to acknowledge the prompt response by the local fire department as well as the commitment and support of our employees and Shreveport’s community at large.
Ternium is also evaluating the damage produced by the incident and its potential effects on the mill’s production capacity in order to implement measures aimed at minimizing its impact on the services supplied to our customers
