Tenova’s Core Furnace Systems and LOI Inc. Combine Operations
04/14/2009 - Core Furnace Systems and LOI Inc. combine business operations effective March 31, 2009.
Core Furnace Systems, a multi-business unit company of the Tenova Group, has combined its business operations with LOI Inc., the U.S. unit of Tenova LOI Italimpianti, effective March 31, 2009.
Combining CORE and LOI Inc. will help Tenova further consolidate and strengthen its presence in the North American market. The combined company will offer an extensive reheating, heat treating, carbon processing and specialty industrial furnace product line while continuing to offer its traditional meltshop equipment, technical services and automation products.
LOI Inc.’s Vice President of Operations, Thomas Bovalina, has been appointed Vice President of the new business unit. In his new role, Bovalina will report directly to Dominic Faccone, Chairman, President and CEO of Core Furnace Systems. LOI Inc. President William Wolfe has retired.
To accomplish the combining of operations, LOI Inc. will be merged into and become another business unit of CORE, along with CORE’s existing Metal Making and Furnace business units. LOI Inc. employees have already moved to CORE’s current Pittsburgh-based headquarters near the Pittsburgh International Airport.
