Tenova Wins Contract for Electrical Steel Process Line

The line will produce grain-oriented substrate that will be finished at a newly built plant in India, Tenova said. The order provides for the engineering and supply of the mechanical and process equipment, the furnace system, and the related electrical, measuring and control systems.

"NLMK selected Tenova on the basis of the large number of references for similar heat treatment lines," said Valery Shevelev, NLMK’s general director of silicon production. “The short execution time is another important factor that led us to choose Tenova as partner for this project.”

The line is to enter service by the end of this year.

"The NLMK Group is one of our most faithful clients with more than 10 orders over the past 15 years. The new decarburization and coating line will ensure the highest surface and best magnetic properties required by the market,” Tenova said.
