Tenova Announces New Leadership Structure After Departure of CEO
10/07/2014 - Tenova, a worldwide supplier of advanced technologies, products and engineering services for the metals and mining industries, announce the departure of Alberto Iperti, who has served as CEO of the company since 2012. He will remain a Tenova Board member and will assist during a transition phase.
“I thank Alberto Iperti very much for his personal commitment and valuable contribution over the past two years. Reviewing the strategy, he quickly and successfully reshaped the organization towards a focused and profitable growth and thus created a sustainable platform for our new leadership structure,” commented Gianfelice Rocca.
Under Gianfelice Rocca’s governance as executive chairman, as of 1 October 2014, Tenova will be managed by a team of four managing directors leading the company’s business areas around the respective industry competencies within the Tenova portfolio. Walter Kueng wil lead Tenova Mining & Minerals. Mauro Medici will lead Tenova Pomini & I2S. Roberto Pancaldi will lead Tenova Thermprocesses. Andrea Rocca will lead Tenova Steel Making & Strip Processing.
“With the new leadership structure, emphasizing on entrepreneurial spirit and passion for technology, Tenova is well equipped to take advantage of the diverse opportunities in our global markets,” Rocca added. “There is great potential waiting to be exploited.”
