TenarisTamsa’s Industrial Center was named as the second best company in Mexico for new generations just beginning their careers, according to a recent ranking by Expansión magazine.
TenarisTamsa was recognized for its programs and initiatives undertaken to help the development of those who are just starting their careers. Their programs include the Roberto Rocca Scholarship Program, a summer internship program, a global trainee program, TenarisUniversity and a gender diversity program.
Linda Alvarez, a former fellow of the Roberto Rocca Scholarship Program who is now a FAT3 maintenance analyst and ambassador for the company, was featured in Expansión magazine.
"I am proud to be a part of the company and that TenarisTamsa was ranked second place. This shows that the company cares about its staff and how it encourages its employees to keep growing. Hopefully this will cause increased participation of young people in the company in the future, especially women. My message is that you will lose fear being in the area, because working in a plant you can do anything," Alvarez commented.
Alejandra Vázquez, Director of Human Resources, commented on the company’s positioning. "This was the first time we participated in this important national ranking and obtaining second place helps us position ourselves as a company that provides many development opportunities for young talent. This shows that our company is a leader in human resource management and that our practices are among the best in the market. This helps us position ourselves with students and recent graduates as an attractive company to help start their career, enabling us to improve our talent recruitment. It is also recognition of the efforts not only of human resources, but the entire company , as talent development is a responsibility in which everyone participates with a high level of commitment," she said.
