Tenaris to Open Canadian Service Center By Year's End
07/18/2016 - Oil country tubular goods manufacturer Tenaris plans to open a service center in Alberta, Canada, late this year in support of oil and gas drillers operating in the Duvernay and Montney shales, the company has announced.
“We are investing in infrastructure that allows us to change the way we get our products to market,” said Guillermo Moreno, vice president and managing director for Canada, in a statement.
“Combining our domestic manufacturing with regional service centers, we are able to strengthen our management of the supply chain and create efficiencies for our customers, saving them time and money.”
The company said it will invest $20 million in the facility, which will include a commercial office, storage yard and a rail spur.
Tenaris said the service center will supply oil country tubular goods and accessories as well as coiled tubes and sucker rods. It also will offer Tenaris’ Rig Direct services, which include inspection, preparation, delivery and return of pipes and accessories.
