The first investments were made to repair public kindergarten 917 and primary school 17 of Campana. A second agreement will focus on the digitalization of the San José de Campana Hospital.
 
A donation of 1 million Argentine pesos will be used to repair the infrastructure and front of the schools’ building, including the sidewalk, main entrance and play area. In addition, the games, lighting, benches and other structures of a park of the area will be remodeled. As part of this agreement, the City Hall will provide an extra 200,000 Argentine pesos for the works, which are expected to be completed by the beginning of 2014.
 
“Education is at the core of Tenaris’s social programs and we seek to permanently strengthen the academic quality for students. We work with local authorities, institutions and non-governmental organizations to identify priorities and develop social action programs.” said Javier Martínez Álvarez, Tenaris director for the Southern Cone.
 
On 18 October 2013, representatives from Tenaris, Fundación Hermanos Agustín y Enrique Rocca and Campana’s City Hall made a visit to the San José de Campana Hospital. They took this opportunity to see first-hand the accomplishments of the second phase of a program launched to improve the management and equipment of the medical center.
 
Tenaris and Fundación Hermanos Agustín y Enrique Rocca provided 272,000 Argentine pesos for this stage, which helped reorganize the pharmacy and sterilization sectors. This area needed an online service to guarantee the control and distribution of the medicine throughout the hospital.
 
The first part of the program involved the installation and implementation of the digital radiology equipment to better satisfy the needs of the patients, reduce operative costs and improve the hospital’s service. The third phase will focus on the digitalization of the laboratory service through the provision of new and better equipment. In the first half of 2014, the Emergency Room and Clinical History sections will be digitalized.
