The plant will heat treat and finish products from the company’s seamless pipe mill in Bay City, Texas, Tenaris said in a press release.
 
Last month the company announced the restart of its Koppel, Pa., meltshop and its Ambridge, Pa., seamless pipe facility. The company also scaled up industrial activity earlier this year at its plants in Conroe, Texas; Houston, Texas; and Hickman, Ark.
 
“Demand for OCTG has been rising amid an improving market and we have been steadily raising our level of domestic production and expanding our team to best respond to our customers as they scale up their drilling operations,” said Luca Zanotti, Tenaris US president.
