Tejas Tubular to Construct New OCTG Facility in Indiana
09/16/2013 - Tejas Tubular Products announced its plans to construct a new facility located in New Carlisle, Ind.
The St. Josephs County facility will focus on the heat treatment and manufacturing of 4 ½- through 9 5/8- in OD well casing for the oil and gas industry. With a capacity expected to exceed 72,000 tons annually, the primary output of this newest Tejas facility will be heavier weight production casing with semi–premium and premium threaded connections.
"Tejas is committed to working within local communities, promoting domestic jobs, and utilizing American steel to support the US domestic tubular products industry. The New Carlisle plant is expected to create more than 100 jobs for the community,” says Darrell Ballinger, vice president sales and marketing for Tejas Tubular.
