Techint Goodfellow Starts up EFSOP Systems for Posco

Techint Goodfellow Technologies Inc., Mississauga, Ont., recently commissioned two state-of-the-art Goodfellow Expert Furnace System Optimization Process (EFSOP) systems at Posco’s Kwangyang Works in Korea. The systems are presently gathering data from the two furnaces.

The Goodfellow EFSOP system measures and analyzes EAF off-gases (CO, CO2, H2, O2) continuously at the fourth hole for real-time closed-loop process control of EAF steelmaking, resulting in improved operations, energy savings, lower conversion costs and safety benefits.

The order was originally awarded by ESCO Professionals Co., Ltd.
