Taylor-Winfield’s Director of Technology Awarded Counselor Status from AWS
01/31/2014 - Taylor-Winfield Technologies’ director of technology and product development, Robert P. Matteson was presented the prestigious Counselor Award from The American Welding Society (AWS).
The Counselor Award is presented annually to individual members for a career of distinguished organizational leadership that has enhanced the image and impact of the welding industry. Election as a Counselor is based on an individual’s career of outstanding accomplishments and contribution to the welding industry.
In his 40+ year career with Taylor-Winfield, Mr. Matteson has made significant contributions to product innovation and development while serving in senior technical and management positions. His commitment to the welding industry includes active participation in the AWS and the Resistance Welding Manufacturers Alliance (RWMA) as a committee member and instructor. In 2004 Mr. Matteson received The Elihu Thomson Resistance Welding Award for his outstanding contributions to the technology and advancement of resistance welding. In 2011 Mr. Matteson was awarded the AWS Life Membership for his 35+ years of active participation in the organization.
